This initial idea was a suggestion made by

way back in 2012, which a character is seeing their reflection in a pool of water or something like that, seeing what they will become or what they were at one point. Having a tough time coming up with something to draw again (thanks to playing Xenoverse nonstop), I checked around my old journals, "re-found" that comment, searched around DA for reflection-related pics, and eventually came up with this (after a few hours of idea struggles). And I'm pleased with the outcome!
